Casadei ‘Blade’ pumps in gold glitter, £550
Ah, the Casadei Blade! It’s a ShoeperWoman favourite, which you’ve seen here many times before, and will no doubt see many more times in the future. If you’re anything like me, though, you probably don’t care HOW many times you see this beautiful shoe: it’s one of those styles that just never gets old, and I think this gold glitter version – complete with matching gold ‘Blade’ heel, is one of the best yet.
If you’re not keen on gold, these also come in silver, red and black (all of which are equally amazing), and if you’re not keen on glitter, there’s no shortage of other options for this particular style. If you’re not keen on the style itself, meanwhile, well, I can’t really help you with that one, but here are some other Casadei options you might prefer:
These suede and leather cage sandals (£825) don’t have that famous ‘blade’ heel, but they’re no less striking for that. The purple and red colour mix is a bold combination, but it’s one I always think works really well, and the contrasting fabrics also help add to the effect here. A high stiletto heel and a lace-front completes the effect of this summery sandal, which would look good with a simple shift dress or tailored trousers.
Finally, I’m not a sneaker fan, and although I have been admiring them on other people lately, I don’t think I’ll ever adopt them as my footwear style of choice. If I WAS going to start wearing sneakers for non-gym related activities, however, these could be the ones I’d go for:
Or, on second thoughts, maybe not. I’m having a hard time imagining how and where I – or anyone else for that matter – might wear a pair of gold sequin sneakers, but I do have to give them props for doing their best to make a utilitarian style a whole lot more glamorous!
